Additional Information: The Fish Bowl is a newly opened restaurant that specializes in poke bowls, a dish of Hawaiian origin. Currently, the only type of poke bowl available is a ‘customised’ poke bowl but that will soon change, as the menu expands. While customising your order, there are five steps involved: pick your base (white rice, brown rice, greens), pick your sides (vegetables, fruits, nuts), pick your protein (salmon, tuna, shrimp), pick your toppings (furikake, ebiko, pickled radish etc.), and sauce it up! There are two bowl sizes available so obviously I chose to ‘upsize’ and I must say, the portion of the protein was indeed hearty – speaking of, I chose the ‘spicy sriracha salmon’ and the spice can be overwhelming if you’re not used to consuming spicy meals so beware.

“Eating is not merely a material pleasure. Eating well gives a spectacular joy to life and contributes immensely to goodwill and happy companionship. It is of great importance to the morale.” Elsa Schiaparelli
