Here is a fluff free review of Manda De Laos in Luang Prabang, Laos:
Notable Mentions: Crunchy Rice Salad with Sour Sausage or Coconut Creme Brulee
Overall Flavours: Excellent
Staff Efficiency: Excellent – constantly asking for feedback while also being attentive and chatty
Ambiance: Excellent β the restaurant is based around a UNESCO classified lotus pond
Pricing: Cheap (RM 0 β RM 25) to Expensive (RM 60 β RM 100 and above)
Tips: Manda De Laos is connected to the hotel Maison Dalabua
Additional Information: Considering this establishment would be categorised under ‘fine dining’, I’d have to say that this is among the most affordable ‘fine dining’ restaurants I have had the pleasure of trying! The amuse bouche was served on a beautiful wooden platter and in general, each dish was plated beautifully. We ordered several dishes and none were lacking in flavour, freshness or authenticity. Here is a list of what we ordered and what I’d recommend: Laotian sausage, Laotian pate, crunchy rice salad with sour sausage, fresh river fish, tamarind duck and coconut creme brulee.
