Photo Diary: Blue Lagoon, Puchong

I initially attempted to find the blue lagoon in Puchong at the beginning of the year but due to time constraints and the weather, didn’t manage to but today was the day – after being brought to the wrong location (again), we decided to keep searching and were indeed rewarded. For those wondering, as I was, what to Waze in order to find the infamous blue lagoon in Puchong? Well, just Waze Persiaran Bukit, Puchong, and you’ll arrive at a dead-end, which is where the trail starts – there should be several stalls selling drinks and a bright pink shoplot, use that as your landmark! We decided to enter via the trail located on the left, away from the stalls, and after a short walk, stumbled upon a small Chinese shrine nestled among nature; from there, we ascended via the trail situated on the right, away from the shrine, and continued ascending untilย we came to a clearing – we had asked a woman if she knew the location of the waterfall and she just said to turn left; so after turning left, we chanced upon another clearing which is basically unmissable, especially as the trees are painted with blue ink (pictured below). Using our intuition, we followed the blue markings until we reached the waterfall, almost an hour later. Due to the delay of our arrival, we decided to stay at the first cascade of the waterfall instead of continuing on as the sight was temptatiousย in its beauty and the cold water was simply refreshing!

“I felt my lungs inflate with the onrush of sceneryโ€”air, mountains, trees, people. I thought, ‘This is what it is to be happy.'” Sylvia Plath
