Additional Information: Located in Gerogetown, the heart of Penang, Pinxin Vegan Cuisine is a must for foodies. Decorated minimally, with numerous inspirational quotes about veganism, it’s infamous for its vegan Assam Laksa – even non-vegans visit for a taste of the thick, tangy broth! Traditionally, Assam Laksa is made with fish that eventually flakes into the soup and somehow, the vegan version curated by Pinxin Vegan Cuisine is of the same consistency. Even the vegan satay is slightly chewy yet perfectly charred like actual chicken satay. So if you want a real (but vegan) taste of Malaysian dishes, especially Penang dishes, definitely visit Pinxin Vegan Cusine as other local items include: curry noodle, Hokkien noodle, Nasi Lemak, Chee Cheong Fun (with or without curry), Rojak, and Kuang Chiang; there are other items on the menu, of course, even Western items, so really, you’re spoilt for choice.

“If you think that being vegan is difficult, imagine being a factory farmed animal.” Davegan Raza
