Food Review: Uokatsu

Here is a fluff free review of Uokatsu, Hartamas:

Notable Mentions: Tamago Mentai Rice and Ocean Trout belly (grilled or as sashimi)
Overall Flavours: Excellent
Staff Efficiency: Good
Ambiance: Average – the establishment is small and simple so don’t expect much
Pricing: Cheap (RM 0 – RM 20) to Expensive (RM 60 – RM 100 and above)
Tips: The owner is super friendly and will gladly explain the menu to you or inform you of which fish was just flown in so do ask
Additional Information: Some may not know that the building opposite Plaza Damas (connected by a bridge) is also known as Plaza Damas and this is where Uokatsu is located. Besides that, I would say this is one of the most authentic Japanese restaurants I’ve been to and also the most delicious (any and every dish is bursting with flavours) – forget Rakuzen!
